The purpose of this lesson is for students to compare and order
multi-digit whole numbers within 1,000,000.

Previously, students reasoned about place value to compare pairs of
multi-digit numbers. In this lesson, they continue to do so as they apply their reasoning to put
whole numbers in order of size.
